Rabbi Barbara Goldman-Wartell provides spiritual leadership, teaches classes for adults and children, conducts worship services and life cycle ceremonies and works with the congregation to achieve its goals. She was ordained and received her doctorate from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City. She also has an MSW and additional hospital chaplaincy and interim rabbinical training.

She is active in interfaith groups in Broome County, including the Children of Abraham of the Southern Tier and the NAACP. She is available to meet with congregants and the larger community. She works in coordination with a local physician for Brit Milah ceremonies.
She teaches through the Judaic Studies Department at Binghamton University.
